I tried to put a 351w in my car tonight. It was originally a 6cyl car. I was reading on the forums that you can use the 6cyl frame mounts flipped backwards. Has anyone else done that and have pictures? We where less than half an inch away from getting it to fit but couldn't get it to go in.

I've read the post about what to do but I just can't seem to get it to work

You need to use V8 frame mounts...

I guess the key to getting it to work is the truck motor mounts and of course the oil pan used. Could you use some spacers to take up the 1/2" and not have hood clearance problems ? Hang in there you will get it figured out even if you have to fork out the bucks to get a set of Maverick v8 frame mounts
