does your 351w sit high at an angle or just sit high, i had a 6 in mine and mine sat at an angle( it looked like it was planning on flying away) i just moved my mounts down and now it fits fine, i have room for a spacer or at least a higher intake.

It just sits high. I have no idea why. :( Only thing I can guess is something to do with the motor mounts.

A few years ago we put a 302 in a buddy's Maverick and he bought a set of motor mounts from the local auto parts. I think it was Advanced Auto parts. Anyway, his motor also sat about 2" higher then it was supposed to. Not sure what the motor mounts really fit but it sure wasent this car. I believe he took them back and bought a set from another parts store and everything was fine.

I don't but, what I would do is remove one, hit a few parts stores, and compare yours to what they offer.

Does the Maverick have a set of "knees" like a Ford truck? Know in a truck there is a lot of difference in the knees......the 6 cylinder is a lot higher.......motor will bolt up.......but sits a lot higher and on a funny angle.........

    height

Look at where your fan sets at the radiator. If it looks to high you'll know it. Or call them again and see what part number you get this time for the mounts.
