I like Holleys and Edelbrocks, but I really don't care for the 4160 with its side-hung floats and banjo fuel inlet with transfer tube that has those O-rings that can leak. The Street Avenger is a 4150 style but with vacuum secondaries.
I've also heard good things about the Summit carbs.

I use the 80457 600 Holley as well, admittedly it was free.

I am using a Holley 0-80456SA with the electric choke and choke plate removed. I dont drive it in the Winter, but it starts easily when I give it a little run time. It took me a bit of time and tinkering to get it to run right, but I bought it used with a rebuild kit, jet assortment, squirter assortment, extra gaskets, secondary springs, even a book. Once it was set up, it has been trouble free. I have an old, old version of it that I could not get to work to save my life though. If I had to do it over, the Summit carb might have been the choice, but I was determined to try and learn how to make the holley work at the time.

i like that it doesnt have as much probability of leaking gas. seems like a good one from what i read as did the rest, but the one lack of extra leakage areas sold me.

I have a stock 302 roller, and use a Holley 570 Street Avenger. The acceleration is great, and it works perfect after 10yrs.

What did you replace with that, and did you notice better MPG? Did you have to fiddle with it or just install and adjust idle mixture? The teardown in the video was surprisingly simple.

if your midly cammed with 1.625 primary tubes, you want a holley 600 cfm with vacuum secondaries. If your not going over 5, 000RPM you can get a Holley 450 cfm vacuum secondary, and really get great gas mileage and be able to turn and burn tires provided you get an adjustable secondary vacuum diaphragm with spring kit, same with the 600.
