Okay...I'm sandbaggin...that 5.69 pass was an all motor pass and will stay up unless someone posts a faster time....I'm not going to get into the opinions and politics of all motor vs. nitrous vs. alky etc. etc.
I put a little nitrous (100 hp) on the motor to have some fun with, having no idea it would pay such benefits in time and consistency, my motor was built to run on 116 octane racing fuel which is why I don't put any more than a 100 hp shot in it.
That said...in the off season when we rework the heads and put a little more bump stick in it it will still be a gas motor that can handle a 300 shot:D
One cold winter night in early 2007 I wanna make a 4.9xx pass:)

As I read the rulebook, you only need an 8-point cage to qualify down to 8.5 seconds in the 1/4. Anything faster requires a funny car type cage for the driver and Rick's car has that. Rick shouldn't have too much trouble getting certified for the 7's. He's practically got a Pro Stock car.

er...um..No:16suspect cutoff is 8.50 or 5.49 the..the car will certify to 7.50 with a driver seat cage, a chute and few other minor things.

I figured you was getting close.....but was not for sure.
Like you send when you got certified for FFW.....it cost a lot of money to go fast...even more to go fast legal.

The faster I go the more pucker there is...I hope I never get so complacent that I lose the pucker;) It's a weird thing...the 5.47 pass I knew in the first 60 ft it was gonna be the best it's ever done even though it just ran a couple hundreths slower the previous pass...I was thinkin OMG what a holeshot and almost lifted having not ever felt it launch that way before.
