    Ain't these only like 170 HP and somewhere around 338 ft of torque? You'd be way better of with a built 302.

    obviously. but if i wanted a simple horsepower and performance build i wouldnt have a 4 door maverick. the point is to be diesel powered, american engine, and have alot of friggen torque. read the rest of the posts ive made, its not supposed to be a simple job.

    Yeah but you can get more torque than that out of a small block pretty easily.

    1972 Maverick 2 door.Original V-8 3 spd std shift.Also a 72 one owner Sprint sporting a 351 Windsor
    Def nutz...like it but, I would put a straight axle under it...Gasser style and run it in the deisle classes at your local strip and tick off all the truck guys while showing em your tail lights.

    more or less. Just been driving it didnt have much to say about it then i woke up and had a pshcyotic breakdown of some sort and decided i had to be the only diesel powered 4 door maverick in Northern california with an international idi diesel.

    that's way too easy and small blocks aren't diesel

    In a way thats what i want to do, but i plan to daily drive the thing, im thinking 80s ranger i beam set up

    I've seen a '46 Ford with a Cummins, it was cool as Hell...
