lens, trim, housing, tail panel, gas cap. i guess it does add up pretty quick. and thats just the parts so if you went with the LED kit would you wouldnt have had to use the shelby tail panel right? then again i think using the panel like you did would make it look better then just sticking the led kit on the flat stock panel
I just don't like sequential LED turn signals for some reason. I guess it's because the LED's turn on and off pretty much instantly, where as bulbs sort of fade on and off. Plus I don't like being able to see each individual LED. I think regular old bulbs give a nicer effect with sequential signals.
Yea... you have to pay attention when buying those. If you get the cheapo ones that just have a cluster of LED's pointing straight out, you'll only have one little spot of light on your tail light lense. Something like this would be what I get, so that the entire tail light is lit up like it should be. Would probably help to paint the rear part of the tail light housing glossy white to help reflect the light.
Hey Jamie any idea of a part number for those? I usually just put 2057's in but they get pretty warm.
No, I wouldn't. I came across a real good site a while back that sold LED lights like that which were a "plug and play" retrofit in all sorts of different applications. I don't remember what I was searching for when I found it. I'll have to do a bit of digging on Google to find it again.
