wanting to convert my 68 302 heads to some screw in studs for my 1.7 roller rockers.is this something i can do in my garge or is there much more to it than drilling and tapping them?
Cant do it in your garage, angles of the screw in studs have to be perfect and the risers that the studs are on have to be milled down
i was dreading that, lol. how is the measurement on milling the risers down determined? the combo that will be used or they just get milled down to a certain spec?
They have to be milled down the thickness of the guide plates at least, they do make tools that can be chucked to a drill that will cut the pedestals down and a special tap for the hole but by the time you buy them and risk the chance of screwing up a machine shop could do them for cheaper
