7/8" HD Sway Bar - When Did It Come From The Factory

    Bought mine new and no rubber blocks, also my rear springs are only 3 leaf...Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.....:huh:

    The 65-72 Ford Parts book shows 4 leafs were used on 4-dr cars with HD suspension, 3 leaf on all 2 dr, regular and HD, just different spring rates.....but again.....Never say Always....

    I have been involved with the parting of 22 plus Mavericks and Comets and only 2 have had the 7/8 sway bar, a 72 Grabber 302 car and a 70 Mav 200 six car, only 2 of the cars had the 4 leaf spring set up and neither was on the cars with the bigger sway bar, I think they put whatever they happen to have in front of them at the assembly line, unless it was specially ordered with bigger sway bar and 4 leafs, and I have only seen the spring blocks on one car.

    Definitely an add on. Those where around to help saggiing cars. I'm not saying a few didn't need a little help new so the dealer may have added them. I hate those about as much as I hate those clamp on ones to lower your car!
