Id say you got a lot more in it then, wouldn't be surprised if you join the 8 second club. Let me know if your going to Capital Saturday wouldn't mind seeing a few passes.

Well we changed a bunch of rear suspension stuff and made some hits this past weekend, Im very pleased with the results. I had to go with a softer rear spring, neutral all bars and start over. I made 2- 1/4hits and 2- 1/8 mile. I went 9.24 & 9.25 ...5.830 & 5.837. Now I can start tweaking the motor some and see how fast it will actually run.

Very cool. Sounds like you might be closing in on 8 seconds once everything gets dialed in! Looks to me like you might need a slight bit of pre-load on that right rear tire. Probably won't do anything for ET and decent enough for most track conditions the way it leaves right now but IF the track or tires start to go away?.. the extra pre-load may add more safety margin.

it does look close but I was referring to the slight left turn at 1.03 in the vid above. From what I can see the car is pulling to the left at launch and then immediately needs some correction away from the center line at about the sixty foot mark. Most cars that can hang the hoops, regardless of chassis design, will respond favorably to added preload at the right rear to avoid rear steer. Could also just move over a foot or so to help compensate for the slight left turn but you may start getting out of the groove and find other traction trouble.

I may or may not have any clue what I'm saying, but very often the effort to move the right arm is counter acted by the left shoulder and arm during the 1st to 2nd shift and with the C4 this is happening in less then a second at launch. We solved a lot of issues mounting a Gopro in car, be surprised to see what's going on.
Be careful with preload, It was my belief that you want as little mechanical as possible to avoid wondering on top.

I appreciate the input and from what I can gather is those passes where made on a very marginal track at best, it does have a slight bump in the lane that I try and drive around. I took the car to a different track this past sunday for a bracket race . they actually prep the track and know what to do. I made 3 time runs went a 578, 574 and 574 then went 3rds of eliminations until the battery gave up. all my 60 fts where between a 1.216 and a 1.231. Ill keep tweaking and keep updating ....Im slowly get comfortable in this car...

wow.. that thing's really haulin' the groceries! That left pull did seem a bit odd but track description makes perfect sense now. Thanks for sharing your cars progress. :thumbs2:

Well I made my 2nd outing this Saturday. They had a quick 16 at my local track. I made it to the semis foot braking. I went .001 red against the eventual winner. They did get a cool shot of me 1st rd
