I've recently come across a what I believe to be a pro stocker. Front suspension was moved out and shock towers dabbed. Steering box is set into framerail and master cylinder under dash. I'm having trouble finding any history. I tried Mike Hoag of M&swelding but car was not built by him. I'll post some pics later maybe someone can point me in the right direction

Can't wait to see the picks. I can only remember 7-8 Pro Stock (2 door) Mavericks from the early 70's, so the gene pool is pretty small.

I don't recognize the work, but it appears to be correct to the era. What a nostalgia PS it would make with a Kaase Boss '9!

The foward cross member looks to be a early Chrysler -Cuda?

I thought it was factory. It is cleanly spot welded to the framerails. I may be wrong though. The front edge has been welded all the way across it

It has a lot of the same look as the other real original pro stock had. he front crossmember is stock, not MoPar.

The Dana rear is correct for the era, too.

You might want to contact SOHC MAV on here, he has the Mr. Rollbar car from 1970 and has also spent some time with the Dyno Don car. Mr. Rollbar car has a recessed steering box, here's a pic of how they did them.

They are building a copy of the Mr. Rollbar car with a 427 tunnel port and restoring the Mr. Rollbar car. SOHC MAV can probably help you more than anyone else in trying to identify your car.

Does your master cylinder run front to back or is it turned 90 degrees? Some put an old truck single pot master cylinder under the dash and turned it 90*.

I thought it looked stock except they had trimmed it, but I may be wrong.

Spent some time sanding the car today and last night. Found an awesome pearl paint job with orange stripes . the one at the beltline comes to a point right in front of the door handles. The lower is about 6 inches wide and runs right under the body line. Front of the door is yellow. My guess is the fenders were too. The ones I have are glass so idk. The driver door had DRIVER lettered on it right under the window but name was sanded of during bodywork at some point. If anyone knows anything please let me know.
