The steel must have set you back a pretty penny..............when I built mine back in early 2002 I think it cost me $200 for all of the metal..........
delivered...................and my table wouldn't hold 1/3rd the weight as yours will.

Welding rod order finally came in! So the Chassis jig is done.
    Specs:
    -2x3 tubing
    -4'x8'
    -legs 15"
-leveler bolts and 3/4 threaded rod with grade 8 nuts

It will have some wheels on the bottom to move it around easier.

Very, Very nice....................looks like a professional jig to me. Are you going to put bigger pads on the feet, or is the table stable enough with just the bolt heads contacting the floor.

Beautiful job on the jig - I do agree with putting in some wide pads - I can see the bolts go digging into your concrete floor :)

I was going to put 1/4 plate square pads on the feet but my plasma cutter decided it didn't want to work anymore:mad:. I figured it would work for one build being on just the bolt nuts for now. i still also have to get 3-4 cross bars for the jig.

Alright, after serval months of life happening i finally got back to my maverick!

So problems so far is my original jig looks awesome but the welding warped it an 1/8 inch in the middle and I wasnt able to flatten it back out so, went on the good old CL and found an old press table for super cheap! So my table changed alittle but the plan remains the same. Got a 20' 3" I beam cut down for cross braces that wont warp and started the frame.

So far ive got the front horns leveled and straight ready for the engine test fit this week. Main body frame is for the most part done except for trimming and grinding the welds down. Also got the internal braces done. Probally gonna leave the rear frame kick ups for last because of thr limited space they will leave me with.

Also lots of new parts came in!

Does anyone k.ow where to get or possibly want to sell a 351w mockup block?
