I got my Mav running, after getting a new solenoid. It clicked rather than starting a few times, but then just started. I had to turn it off though, after it burned a quart of oil, and my street disappeared in smoke, when i tried to strat it later, it only clicked. I used that solenoid 5 times and it was new. What else could be wrong with my car that won't cost me $21?

It's the starter. Now if only I could find one on ebay. Did the 250 I6 maverick share a starter with the Pinto or Mustang? Or Falcon, or Torino?

Since my frame broke I'm buying another Maverick, or at least trying to. No one seems to want it, maybe because it has the second rustiest car body I've seen. But the frame and steering column is good, and it comes with a 5.0 and T5 trans. I know those don't fit without mods i dont know how to do, but heck, for now, nice garage decor.
