I have a 71 non a/c Comet. I disconnected the heat over 15 years ago and don't need it. I want to remove the heater core before it starts leaking but not sure how to or what to look for. I searched the site but dis not find anything that would guide me. Any suggestions?

    Thanks everyone!

You need to remove the lower package tray, disconnect the control cables and hoses at the top/front of the heater box and unbolt the box. The fan will pull in from the engine compartment.

No need to remove it, just bypass the heater core water connections and it will never leak.

That's true. Bypass at the engine and blow the coolant out of the heater (preferably with compressed air LOL).

Thanks for the info. I went for now with option B and removed the water lines and blew it out the best I could. Will suffice for now.
