My grandson brought his 72 Maverick to the old guy to troubleshoot his charging problem. We measured the voltage delivered to the battery and found it low. We concluded we should probably change the alternator and the external voltage regulator. Problem is: when we get the alternator free inside the engine well, we cannot get it out of the engine well. Anybody have any ideas?
