Gene, Light Hole ? Is that the rectangular hole off center of the dash toward the right side? I bought the car and the hole was there and never figured out what went there. Can you enlighten me on that?

    The painted dash looks good:thumbs2:

    It's a seat belt light.

That was a bonus when changing to the 74 dash. No mystery hole

I want the tray so I went the other way.
Is the harness going to be different in any way?

The only harness difference was the fiber optic light used on the 74 wiper switch bezel. Just needed to pick up illumination (took it from the light switch light blue wire) and ground.

My 72 had a lighter in the ashtray that wasn't in the 74, so I kept my 72 insert for the ashtray bracket, no wiring change req'd

Sounds promising, thanks. I took my ash tray completly apart and sand blasted it inside and out then put it back together with new rivets. Painted it with flat black on the inside. Came out like a jewel lol. Both had lighters so I have that connector.

I love that color! That will really stand out when you get it all together, Gene. I want to see a pic with the speedo cluster and ash try installed!
