but that won't be too old school, right? ;)
i will find out how everything will line up... what search term should i use to find the bracket for the pivot on a roller block - i ran out of ideas while browsing mustangsunlimited, couldn't find anything!

Thomas, Here's the link to it on their site. Might shop around and find it cheaper.

Of course, if the block has the cast in boss at the back then you could just have it drilled and tapped at a machine shop to fit the original clutch ball. Don't know if the newer roller motors have it or not. I know the mid 80's blocks did. - Matt

matt, thanks for the link. i'll be in the garage again tomorrow and will check whether the new block can be drilled and tapped.
but $75 is really a tough price, considering the fact that - having bought the actual pivot from raymond - all i need is a little metal bracket. might fab up that myself!

started preparing the dual exhaust system today. i got some 67-70 mustang exhaust hangers from a friend, guessing they shouldn't be too far off. they consist of an l-shaped bracket which is mounted to the rear frame rail. on the mustang, it is mounted in front of the shackles - but there's no room on the comet.
the package stated that the left hand bracket is shorter than RH - but i still had to cut it down and drill new holes in it to clear the tank. put them a little further down so it will clear the rear valance.

    here's some pictures:

i gave the backseat to an upholstery shop as the mustang seat covers need some alteration.

    made some pictures before ;)
i also have the shop manual and the car master parts catalog, that'll help me. and all in all, there aren't too many different bolts on the car! the car was literally screwed up before anyway, so i'll try to get it all sorted out.
