Looks like he hasn't been here in over a month. Maybe something happened. I hate it when these things happen...

    i cannot believe this...
the same s**t just happened again?!?
i bought a wiring harness on ebay, paid immediately via paypal. i was just informed that my has been canceled and the auction has been deleted, as there was a misuse detected in the user profile. all that happened AFTER the close of the auction.

this starts to suck big time

what?? and your money wasn't automatically refunded? no wonder ebay gets a crappy reputation.

    false alarm this time
i sent the seller an email, he responded quickly. looks like ebay went mental and closed some of his auctions. he will look into it and keep me updated...

but i'm with you on this one - canceling the auction and not refunding is simply not the way to do it!

I was interested in a part from the same seller - he was supposed to build them. I sent multiple messages asking for pictures and prices but never got a real answer, just that pictures would be sent soon (and they never were). After hearing about your experience, I'm glad I never sent any money.

I'm sorry this deal went bad and I hope you get your money back. At least you found another set of pedals! (y) Keep posting pics, I really like this thread. :yup:

for the first time i actually believe that i'm able to finish this project. after discovering heavy rust in both the trunk lid and the newly acquired set of doors, today was a happy day. the container shipment of a friend was delayed nearly two months - but finally arrived today.

a big hand for mean_maverick - he provided me with a near mint trunk lid
    [IMG]

also, the member 'karina' aka marco from colorado was a big help. he deals with car parts, and provided me with a set of solid doors. not perfect, but a very good place to start from

a big 'thank you' also goes out to chandler who provided me with a whole bunch of much needed parts.

i mocked up the front again to check how everything is aligned

the whole project will now definitely advance

apart from that, i re-bent, cleaned and painted the fuel lines. the rear line unfortunately had been cut, so i have three pieces in total:

the detail work is impressive. you have a good eye for that stuff. Are you gonna run the stock fuel tank with stock pickup?
