72 torino spindle for maverick

    yeah it will make it as long as you dont turn over pot holes or speed bumps. It was just a wheel and tire i tried its not what i am going to run. Michigan roads wont allow, way to rough.

    Did some field research today. I found a '73 Torino with these spindles at Pull-A-Part. Also discovered that many other cars had the same calipers. At a glance they seem to also have the same spindles. Late 70's Thunderbirds, Cougars, Marks and Continentals. A lot of trucks had the same calipers too, although obviously the brackets and spindles are completely different. I swapped an '88 F150 caliper onto the '73 Torino and it fit like a glove, only difference being the way the hoses attached...

    The reason I did all this of course, was to see if those Torino calipers and brackets could go on the Granada/Maverick spindle.

    Sadly, they cannot. But hey, now we know.

    I'd like to find this bushing we need to make the lower ball joint fit. If that's all it takes, then I might do this...
