Not a fan of the LS1 but a huge fan of the different. I would spend time looking at your car at a show. I personally want to build a 72 El Camino with a supercharged 4.6 cobra engine :yahoo:

I have a couple of questions if you don't mind.
What engine mounts did you use to install it on the maverick?
Didn't that engine has the optispark (or whatever name has the distributor it uses) and that thing causes trouble and is expensive to replace? Or that's another kind of ls engine?
    Thanks in advance.:Handshake

You're thinking LT1 and yes those had distributor problems. The LS engines ran distributorless ignition.

Love the fact you left it fi I always like the way the ls intakes look. I if didn't want another maverick I would get a third gen camaro and do an ls swap

It's an RC motorsports front end and t got the motor mounts from speedway motors I think. Possibly from eBay. Been a long time since I bought them. Sorry

I made a plate to match the stock motor mount holes and drilled it to mount 350 Chevy motor mounts to it.

Very good idea. There are lots of ways to do it. As long as it works and looks clean

One thing I have to tell y'all is that if your going to run a fly by wire throttle body and your going to run the steam lines to the water pump make sure you drill the hole behind the pump. If you drill the hole on top the sylonoid for the throttle body will not fit. The fitting gets in the way

Another thing I can't stress enough is buy yourself a good quality wiring harness. I started out trying to use a truck harness and delete the things I didn't néed. Then I bought a used harness , another failure. Then I decided to buy a new one. Sooooo easy. Kinda expensive but I know what I have and not worried about shorts. I bought mine from PSI. Plug and play. So simple a caveman can do it. Lol. You will be glad you bought a quality wiring harness
