Nice work. I dont think anybody has gone this far to bring a Maverick back to life. Iv eseen quarters replaced, roof skins replaced, frame rails replaced, but never a whole floor and frame assembly. Maybe one other time I saw a car that was merged with another half of a car, think it was Joexrs or someting like that now that I think about it. Sentimental attachement sure makes you do crazy things doesnt it?

Just went out on one of the party boats nto the Gulf here, with my stepson for his birthday. About forty of us fishing. Lots of grouper ... I caught a red 17 incher, pretty fish ...but, gotta' be 20 to keep it.

The pool winner on the boat landed a 28 inch black grouper, looked to be a bit over 20 lbs.

Brought home a load of grunts, good size too. Tasty, but a million tiny bones turned the wife off ... more for me. :D

That top pic of the floor in post 161 now has the Edgar Winter song "Frankenstein" stuck in my head ... not entirely a bad thing. Same thing as when I fixed my floors ...
What started as two patches evolved into about seven, because my floors were pitted but pretty solid... strong enough to bang on, but too thin to weld to. I should have done one big front pan there myself. Live and learn.

Really nice progress with the car. This build is over the top.
