I wanted to take a break from welding so I decided to make the inside lens functional...when I started looking at doing this its not just a lens and backing plate swap...I wonder why Ford didnt make the Bobcat lights fully functional anyway????
the lens was cut to length and I milled the sides to clear the screw boss..

turned over the light frame and checked out the fit...the reflectors make for a neat pic........

Nice idea with the extra light being added. Might help save you from getting rear-ended some day, and it does seem right that ought to be functional from the start.

I do the same to Comet taillights .... convert the back-up light to another taillight. If they can't hear me backing up, they don't hear so good ... that added light is more important in my mind. The originals are pretty small compared to a lot of modern cars.

    No Maverick now
I had bobcat tail lights in the back of my trunk when I bought the car and threw them away. :slap: I thought the guy accidently picked up the wrong ones from a junk yard.
