That info helps. As I said in post #2 - all "77 were disc. So I guess that car either had front end damage and was patched up from a donor drum car, or somebody took the disc parts and it was repaired with drum parts - much the same way Craig said happened with the parts he sold a kid fixing up a car.
BTW .... here is how your VIN decodes 7K91L101755 7 = 1977 K = Kansas Assembly Plant 91 = 2 door Maverick L = 250 CID / 6 Last numbers are the unit ID If you want - post a picture of the complete door data sticker and we can tell you more info.

I may well be totally wrong but I'm seeing the most likely possibility as being clipped early in life, with earlier front half used and VIN swapped... Do the rivets in dash that hold VIN plate appear orig??? Clipping was very common on unibody vehicles, had a guy I knew do a '69 Ranchero for me, used a SCJ Cobra Fairlane for front half... That BTW had drum brakes, I swapped the discs from Ranchero clip to it... Actually the clip on it was a SW(which was wrong, should have been from 2dr HT), it had already been clipped once and that clip had the RF corner replaced... AND it didn't end pretty, I sold it to a friend and the guy he sold it to totaled the front end again...
