    wowzers....that sucks....it would have to be scary to be in a fast car on a virgin track.

    :DJohn....Ray is talkin about when I bought the white car many moons ago I made some homemade wedges to stiffen the leaf springs...needless to say they didn't stay under their long:biglaugh:

    Terry it was a .500 tree, it seemed to take forever for the lights to drop...only thing I can figure is you have to dial a different delay number in the box vs. a .000 tree.
    There was MAJOR pucker factor at work not just at launch but the entire run...the track was virgin (no groove)...the pass prior to this was my first and the car did a 1.22 60 and a 5.41, track personnel asked my son Josh who spots for me what the car would run and they held me in the water box while they put fresh VHT in my launch pad, it got so much air that it scared me almost to the point of getting out of it.
    This pass they held me up while they put fresh VHT down but the car stayed low and tracked straight.
    Dropping from a 5.41 to a 5.34 was accomplished by backing 4 degrees out of the timing (plugs were really lean) and take the limiter chip out (7800) as I was on it at the traps.
    One thing is for sure, the faster you go the more keenly aware you are of everything during those 5+ seconds and no matter how good you or your car is you can always end up like the Camaro in the above pic.:whistle:
