:) Hi there, just a note to say that the comet has done well. My son and I spent the last sunday, a few hours at least, working on the greenmachine. we flushed and filled radiator, again, and it was still brownish. New plugs and wires, I laughed when the boy said, after 3 plugs, O.K. , now I go to the other side, right??? New fan belts, and mostly, new shocks all around. I think we replaced the orig. equipment shocks. they said motorcraft, but I don't know what else to look for. I do know that the plungers stay where you put them. BIIIIIIG ride difference. All in all, a few hours on a sunday with my son, working on his car, and not once did I fell the urge to pop his 16 year old neck off. That, my friends, is what I hoped this car would be all about. He did most of the work, I didn't want to be in the shop all day, and he did well. I do have a few questions.
 went with moroe-matic plus shocks, I was told there was not a application for sensatracs, for future reference, as a dialy driver, any recommendations?
 new shocks = 2" body lift ?
 pass side rear did not lift as high as drivers side, this normal?
 would new rear prings be a good investment, or maybe rearching the ones on there?
:) thanx for listening, and as always, thanx for the feedback.

    Great news "Dad".

Sixteen year olds can be testy on us old guys! Glad you didn't "pop his neck off"! LOL!

'Wish I could answer your q's but I'll leave that to the guys who know what they're talking about.

    LOL @ 3 plugs! :D

    phrased wrong?

 ooops, what I ment to say was that while we were doing the work together, neither one of us "felt the urge." In other words, maybe we both grew up a little. anywhooo, thanx for the feed back, now about those ?????'s........

    questions...

I know on my 70 when I had to put on helper leafs due to wider tires rubbing, i had to tighten up the passenger side more than the drivers side to make them even. I dont know if this helps.

If it were me, I would buy brand new leafs. Not very expensive and mostly for peace of mind.

I know airshocks could lift it some but a lot of people say that air shocks are bad news. I know that KYB gas shocks lift it some.

Plus if you get new four leaf leaf springs for the back it will lift it quite a bit.

I'm seriously considering adding a set of the JC Whitnwy 4 leafs on mine. Still undecided, and after this V-8 swap my wallet is crying, so I don't know. Good luck with it. Country
