Oh yes, it was a good time. Food took a little long too get to the table, but there was so much chat about. Great to see Darren and Zac again. Also to get see Zac's Comet , that Comet is a real driver, 302 with a 4 speed, lets rock & roll. Thanks for making it out Zac, long drive. Darren that Mav is sweet, like the colour. Oh ya a few of budy's say hi , as they keep waiving at you. Too Much. Next time I think were going to Woodstock.
Ya I wanna see the proof too. We all know I can get the hooters girls to car shows. Wait till you see my last show with the girls. All 28 of them. tooooo much. haha
I'm in lets go. My turn to make the trip with my 4:11's after Zac drove his all the way here from woodstock with 4:11 4 speed. Our cars look too cool side by side Larry. Gotta find that third one in Burlington. How can we have 3 Grabber Blue Mavs this close together? You guys down south have to understand that these cars dont exist up here and somehow we seem to have 3 the same color within 20 minutes of each other. If we do find the third one we should get some nice pics taken together. You guys missed the dual quad red Chevelle leave. The poor thing was so rich my eyes were watering. He tried to let it go out of the parking lot and it fell on its face, way to much carb. Chevy guys.
You don't know how pissed i am that i coulden't make it.....Oh well family obligations. We will get together before summers out!!
Well my fellow Maverick fans (minus one post) as usually i am late as the family thing in the last 2 days have eaten up my time after work .... but i promise i will make a post on our Hooter Maverick Comet meet. And yes (thank you Darren) i will provide the Hooters proof complete with cars, girl, dash plaque , best of show prize shot etc, etc, etc. On Saturday my time is clear and free, no swap meet, no car show, no cruise night just me, my computer and the damn kids.
I t was fun tooling down the road at 3400 rpm. No tunes just exhaust notes singing away. Even got semi decent gas mileage, just over a 1/4 tank. I was taking it easy though. As I told the boys, it was a nostalgic tour down hwy 53, across the top of Hamilton. I haven't been that way in decades. Also I have been using that drivetrain since 83 when I built it. Gears and all. Great time and I still say the waitress could handle a "stick", shift that is...
We need to make those plans but your welcome to come and bring your car when we do, the more the merrier.
