Ray it's funny you mention the flared wheel wells...the rears are flared but not the front...I thought they were aftermarket but after closer inspection there not. I didn't know they made em like that. The 73 I had years ago was just a box bed.

This project is not progressing fast enuf for me...one of our tracks is open and the other is fixin to open and I WANNA RACE....grrrrr

Steering box vs #8 header tube = bummer. Right?

If there's gonna be an issue with the headers it looks like its gonna be the steering box.
I got a set of headers that came with the truck that were for a 302 and they were custom made for it.
Of course I can't use them but I thought they may come in handy as a template to build a new set from.

Man oh man that's gonna be fun!! We bought another Ranger last week- a 92 single cab long bed, and I just can't keep from thinking that it needs a 302 dropped in so that the truck will be happy. It just keeps calling to me...........

Mr. Rick- that thing is going to be beyond fast- can you say insane. I'd get insurance and plates on it...........That'd be fun too right?? right guys??? guys?? :D Good Luck and Have fun!!! Preston

I'll bet everyone thought this project was dead , myself included. Well I carried the rotating assembly from the machine shop that did the block work to the machine shop that is balancing it.
We may actually have this thing together in a couple of weeks but I'm not holding my breath...:hmmm:
