i got mine from summit racing. they are not in there catalog. you have to ask for them. they are for a maverick speciffically. and we didn't have to do anything other than weld them on. they were about $115 if i remember right.
Rudy Bidlack is still selling the ones he made.......you can get ahold of him through the MCCI. IF you was a member, there was an ad for them in this issue of the SHORTHORNS.
I used Chassis Engineering ones specifically for Mavs that fit great and cleared the brake lines. They are square tubing. Do a search for subframe connectors and there are lots of pictures of all the different ones.
Bob, here is a pic of my connectors on a car. They should look just like this. Chassis engineering wont fit later model Mavs... park brake mechanism is in the way. Dan
so they dont weld to the axles>?? well i just learned something new.... thank god you told me before i went and did my own... PHEW
if you want to wait and check mine out i will be at sir on the 7th of may. a week from saturday. i park in the row right across from the rest rooms (old guys can't walk so far). also there will be at least one other maverick there. mine is the blue one.
I`d like to see a picture of a set of Chassis Engineering connectors installed on someones car. I have a set still in the box ,and was wondering if they "hang down" a little low compared to the tubular ones.
http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=13976 There's a picture of my Chassis Engineering ones under the thread: Roof Replacement.
Thanks for the pics guys...But I guess what I was wondering is weather or not the Chassis Engineering ones can be seen "hanging down" when the car is on the ground? Like if the car was driving by coulld you see the connectors from the side? I know you can`t see the tubular ones on the peoples cars I`ve seen who have them.
