Add a Vinyl top?

Now you tell him. Where were you several months ago before he converted to small bumpers?

 

There ain't nothing that could have convinced me to leave the park benches on!

I think a dark brown top would set the car off.

Hmmmm....the prospect of a Maverick being my daughter's first car convinced me to leave those extra inches on the '77.

 

Dan; if you just have to have a black top on there, paint it on! At least it won't rust and look like crap in afew years....and it is a lot easier to repair if it does. Just my $.02!

Thank you Dan. Guys keep trying to tell me I can make mine look good with the big bumpers but when it comes time they are going bye bye.

I'm kinda neutral on the vinal top. I think it would look good with or without it.

Nah ... don't need one ... This is a turn up the radio and cruise car ... the 250 does just fine ...

I was not able to find a replacement vinyl top anywhere, so I took it to a local shop and they were able to order the correct material and duplicate the look of the original top. I also had them install the replacement headliner I had, since I already had the glass out and both the top and the headliner had to be stretched through the window channel.
