dont be scared by all the brackets, only one goes to a C4. the rest are Gm and mopar. it bolts to the bottom 2 bolts on the servo

you can see the switch bolted to the side, idk what to say about reverse lights though.

one issue is that you have to cut a piece off the transmission selector thing that the linkage rod bolts too and theres no way i can get any electrica powered cutting tool near it without dropping the header on the drivers side. which is also the one that required the engine to be lifted to bolt on

The Hammer Shifter has a neat look also. I'm making a custom console and will be also fitting it with gauges like my 68 Shelby had, so I can make the console that hides a lot of the shifter box and makes it look like a console shifter. I'm early on looking for this but only have a few weeks (I hope)

My car had one of those in it when I got it, but they apparently didn't have the bracket the shifter bolted to, because they hacked out a hole big enough for a four speed shifter and then bolted it directly to the floor pan. I also think they used a rod instead of a cable on it. I tossed it, filled the gaping hole with fresh sheetmetal, and then installed a Hurst V Matic shifter. It only required two 1/4" holes to mount it, and a 3/8" hole for the cable....much nicer.

Does that shifter have a reverse lock out on it? It dosen't look like it. My dad had something similar in his Comet back in the 80's. His buddy was messing with the radio and accidentally knocked it into reverse at like 50 mph, the rear wheels basically locked momentarily before the engine stalled out and the car fishtailed on him. Could had very easily caused a wreck had other cars been around. I would not use an auto floor shifter without a reverse lock out.

Jamie, I think the way it is supposed to work is that you have to press the shifter down to put it into reverse, but it sure don't look like it would take much to knock it out of gear. My V Matic will not go into reverse unless you pull the trigger. You can bump it up into neutral, but not reverse.....

yea you have to press the entire handle down to get it out of park or reverse.
