Aftermarket Radio Help Needed

    Yes the box under the sol is the regulator. I wud'nt be so quik to replace the ign box; I don't believe it's in the charging circuit. I wud replace cables, reg. and solenoid if they are questionable. Actually, u can't go to far wrong changing anything in 40yr old cars IMO.

    If my regulator is dead that would cause...?? So i check @ the battery with the ign. Switch off i get 12 max 12.24 volts with the switch on it rapidly drains within 20 seaonds actually watched multumeter but it will recharge fairly quicly when bak off but will not turn over @all it just buzzes when engaged

    It appears ur battery is being charged if u get 12.25v at rest. Sounds like u have restiance somewhere. May be a starter/starter cable problem. Maybe someone else can offer some ideas on what to look for next.
