    Sorry guys - I did not see this thread until today or I would have posted sooner. Go to your preferences and look at the list of "options" - uncheck the box next to "Display unviewed garage items count above navigation tab"

    Red box will be gone.

    Or if you want to stay on top of changes in the garage section, keep the box checked and hit the "updated" tab. Any garage items that were recently changed will be at the top of the list and by opening them, the red boxes will disappear. No need to go searching for them. :bouncy:

    I'm glad I saw this before posting an inquiry. Thank you very much, everyone, for the great answers, or I would have driven myself mad as well with that number hovering over the Garage tab. :D
