    Clean car ... really nice detailing.

    You mentioned that you get a lot of positive reactions from folks when you have it out on the road . ... I can see why. That car just makes you smile. :thumbs2:

    The only LDO stuff I see are the bumpers and the vinyl top, and even LDO's didn't have all that rubber on the bumpers. The bumpers with all the rubber guards and the halo vinyl top were both options that could be had on any 1973.

    Interior is definitely not an LDO.

    My '73 LDO has everything but, the vinyl top, and that's a good thing. Vinyl will rot a roof out around here.
    By the way, nice car, StingrayIII.

    Here are pics of the seats and the dash currently.
    Now the front seat looks like it was original, but could have been replaced. Either or, it is getting replaced anyway.

    Hard to tell in the pics, but the fabric of the front seat is very worn out. That is why it looks like it was original, and looking at the vinyl at the bottom looks the same age as the top portion.
    Anyway I am going to send it into the shop to get reupholstered along with the dash.
    Any Idea's how I can get the floral pattern that is in the middle???
    If not, and I don't think I will find that pattern which seat pattern do you think will look better.

    1. With Cloth or Vinyl in the center section?

    2. I think this would look nice all vinyl. But without the buttons.

    Or if anyone has any other suggestions please post pics so I can help decide what I want.

    Thanks guys!!!

    The good news;
    The horizontal stripe vinyl material can be found from SMS: http://www.smsautofabrics.com/

    The bad news;
    I have not found a supplier for the vertical floral pressed vinyl pattern, in between the aforementioned striped vinyl.

    Back to good news;
    A good upholstery shop should be able to re-use the pressed vinyl pattern, as a whole, as long as it is not tore or severely dry rotted.

    Maybe you can dig deeper than I did and find everything that you need. :thumbs2:

    I actually like the seat she has her hand on. I would rather it not have the buttons though.

    Cloth would be a lot more comfortable and not burn you with the hot sun like vinyl does.

    Beautiful car, and great looking interior Stingray!!!

    I agree that the cloth would be cooler than the vinyl.....but.....

    ....in my opinion...your idea of keeping it as close to original would look awesome.

    The blue color in the original vinyl, matches the plastic side panels, and your door panels perfectly.

    You could order the original vinyl from SMS, and have the upholstery shop re-use the 4 center floral inserts, on each seat, if you think they are in good enough condition, and you would end up with a really nice original looking interior, that is new!

    Ultimately, you should do what you think is right. I wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide. Thanks for sharing the pics with us. :burnout:
