I admit, though. I had to slide the transmission under the car, then put the jack under it while under there. My jackstands were at their highest setting but still too low to use the jack to roll the tranny under.

But, I only had to put the tranny up onto a 3" jack, and not the 10" tranny jack.

My car is up JUST high enough that I could slide the bellhousing through the wheelwell, and maneuver it through the steering components and into the trans tunnel. Again, I lucked out there.

I am using up all my luck on this transmission swap...:D

I will have to see this they can all just pick up the maverick for you and have some hold the transmission and you got it all finished. and 99,000 didnt even have to do anything.

I skipped over most of the thread...

Im looking to use this on my lifted Sonoma to slide the transmission/transfer back.

Can you raise it to full lift and tell me how high it raises? i may be buying one myself

Only 15" at max lift. Down to around 3" at bottom.

May not work for a truck.

Hrm, I'm pretty sure it won't work. I had thought about the idea a while back.

Guess I'll be trying to find something else.

    Thanks for the information

I use the HF tranny jack. I put all 4 corners as high as they will go on jackstands. I put the tranny on the jack and then lift the front of the car with the floor jack and 2 4x4s on the jack. I lift it as high as I need to get the tranny rolled under and then drop the car back down on the jackstands. I push the tranny under making sure i don't get under the car at all.:)
