    Ford had an over-the-counter program for dealers to install less expensive radios at the dealership. They were Motorolas like this one and were used into the '80's. They are not the same as the ones installed at the factory. I worked at the dealership and they did a lot of them.

    Gotcha, sometimes I'm a little slow...

    Guessing it was a quick upgrade for the dealers to move a customer up to FM from the AM only, could let them have it at cost to make a sale...

    Weren't the factory Mav AM/FM radios stereo by '74??? The '73 I have literature for is and mfg'd by Philco...
