I'd like to add a tip to improve the instrument lighting. As you all know by now the three bulbs that light up the instrument cluster do not do a very good job. I was not happy with how dimly it was all lit up so i went to Advance Auto parts and bought three Sylvania LED 194 bulbs and installed them. Well not to be corny but the difference is "night and day". The give the perfect amount of illumination. It looks like the way that more modern cars are lit up. They're not too bright either, just right. They were a little tough to install into the bulb sockets but with just a little extra force than you would normally use to install a standard 194 they popped right in. The only negative to this is that they cost $10 each but for good dash lighting it is worth $30 to me.

Jack's modification is truly awesome. If I wasn't sticking with my Dixco hood tach, I would be all over it for sure. (y)

I have a cluster ready to ship and another one to do next week. I have been turning these around in about a week. After finishing this next one, I will build one more for a give-away at the MCG Gathering again. Then that will be it for a while. I have my Fairlane to finish up for spring and a lot of things to do for the upcoming Gathering, here in Dubuque.

I will continue to build these for those who want one, but the turn-around time will be longer. For future ones, I will only ask for a deposit to start with and then the balance upon completion.

Thanks again to all those who have already purchased one. :tiphat:

Aw quit being so selfish Jack and crank these babies out. Every maverick should have come with one of these from the factory!
