Hey Dan that looks really nice, do you know if you can get that style of bulb in different sizes, I am not sure what I would need, but I put Stewart Warner Gauges in place of the factory speedo and for all of the others..... Just wondering Neal
Those LED's have been around for a while w/ the white face maverick dash change. The guy that sells some of the cutouts sells the LED lights also, It's not an original idea, just something different. I've seen it 2 or 3 times on a maverick already. The whitefacegauge guy owns Express Overlays. He used to sell the bulbs, not sure if he still does.
I attached the link to the thread that contains the company I bought them from - see above . There are a total of 11 bulbs ... 2 are for the directionals and 1 is for high beam so you may or may not want to colorize them. I bought ten and left the high beam light original ... I did not cut it out but you can see it through the overlay.
Yes but did you use the Single Point LED's or the 4 Point LED's there is someone else offering 6 point LED's?
Actually ... they are not as bright as I thought .. I deliberating whether to paint the inside of the panel white to get better reflectivity to brighten them up more. I do notice they don't repsond well to the brightness adjustment ... I guess when the voltage goes down too much they cut off instead of dimming ...
I'd paint the inside white and clear coat the hell out of it. That should make it plenty shiny. Something else I thought of was to get reflective tape and apply it to all the interior of the cluster. bet that would light up like the sun.
