I got the general idea on the teardrop shape around the guide. I would like to see it. Maybe a Google search would bring something up? Thanks for the warning on the water jackets....so how far can I grind before i hit them?
You did not actually cut on the floor of the exhaust ports did you? Also, how are you keeping track of how large you are going in each direction inside of the valve bowls?

I was basically just opening everything a bit and smoothing out all the transitions. Most of the grinding has been done at the thermactor bump and rounding off the valve guides. Apparently there was a thin spot where i hit the water jacket. Machinist who is testing the pressures says I did not grind off enough there to typically hit a jacket, but probably hit this one due to a bad casting.
That is what I found out the hard way. so I am taking it real easy on the other head and going to focus more on the valve guide and just polishing up, not so much opening the passages too much.
