    hum intresting.. sorry so long to reply but been kinda busy. todays my catching up forms boards today :D anyways thanks for insite however i would really like to see pic of the front of the radiator and engine compartment when you have a chance.

    p.s. i love my car at 160 if it was a fuel injected car i'd say otherwise. all the dyno pulls i did on the car ran the best when it was @ 160-165.

    ...this is veering me away from supercharging my mav.. well all this info and the fact that i might have to cut the hood to fit it. and theres no way in hell im hacking up a grabber hood. i was looking at the weiand supercharger on summit. so yeah nay positive or negative on that would help. oh and im thinking of trying to build a centurfugal supercharger out of a belt driven water pump. i looked like it might work but i dont have the fabricating skills or a spare water pump lying around

    FYI use iridium plugs on forced induction motors. I have seen 20 to 30 hp gains just from a spark plug change on the dyno. They resist having the spark "Blown" out. Pretty neat....

    A roots type supercharger like the Weiand will require additional hood clearance, AKA Cowl hood. Don'T cut the grabber hood, Find a regular hood and cut if you don't want a cowl. First off a water pump could never withstand the rpm it would take move enough air to do any good, Second a water pump is not a air mover.

    There is Nothing wrong with either, We have 3 cars with centrifugal chargers. The only problem you will find is you need to be injected to run a centrifugal. You don't have to be but it opens up another world of problems, You will need a blow Thur carb or a carb enclosure (expensive for both) Then you will need a boost referenced fuel regulator and a fuel pump that will supply at least 6 psi more than the top boost you plan to make. (8psi boost=14psi fuel pressure) Not all pumps are capable of this. this is just some of the scenarios you will run into I'm sure there is some that hasn't come to mind yet. But good luck in which ever route you choose as there is nothing evens comes close to being BLOWN.

    yeah still the same? i'd just build the motor more for a supercharger though. i think half of my boost is going out the exaust lol! the only way i think this motor is being held together right now...lol!

    but still would go with a non roots i think though. however the roots is the easiest to install period! the other way is just way too much effort involved. lol! i been lazy these days! i just got a maganacharger for my other car with the heat exchanger set up. i wish they would make something for our set up like that.

    yeah i don't think that question was answered either... lol!

    well here is my 2 cents. a properly sized turbo will make more power than a supercharger hands down but it is much more complicated to put on a car. the easyest is a roots but i have had friends that had them that had alot of overheating problems, but as allready stated that can be fixed. centrifugal produces the least amount of heat (so i have heard i have 0 expereance with them) and they can be easily intercooled so i would think that the only disadvantage they have to a turbo is that they are belt driven which ='s loss in hp. , but then again no spool up problems like a big turbo has. but with a turbo having virtually no drag on the engine they would get the best fuel mileage and be the most streetable also. my 2.3 turbo gets 30 mpg and makes over 350hp at the crank

    turbo = most hp
    roots supercharger = easiest to install
    centrifuagal = has alot of good points for itself
