    Hijack warning...

    ...I have never noticed the clip in the center of the cowl/firewall joint
    holding that vacuum line. Do you know which line that is?

    Well the local shop wanted $175 to ceramic coat the exhaust manifolds. Instead I picked up some Eastwood Cast Iron Manifold Coating for $25. Paint it on and then run the engine for 20 minutes to make it permanent. I put the first coat on .. and have to wait 24 hours for the second coat ....

    Notice the engineering numbers and date codes .. these manifolds came off an October 1970 Built Comet ... Date codes are September 11, 1970. Comets got 302 engines 2 months before Mavericks did ..

    Sheesh, you don't waste any time!!

    I just sent those out last Thursday and they are already made pretty!!

    For some reason... I don't know why that heat shroud looks different... I think it changed when it entered foreign territory! haha

    O ya, Dan.... How do I know the date code for the manifolds... I want to check the other car/motor...

    Also, I don't think my other Comet has the sticker in the drivers door jamb, is there another way to tell build month besides that?

    These manifolds are stamp 0J11 ....

    0 = 1970
    J = September
    11 = Day

    Without a Marti Report or Build sheet you can only determine the month from the door sticker .. but not the day.
