So finally I look at the Stallion to start cleaning it up. Suburban is ready,, anti sway thing for the trailer is a one piece at a time thing since nobody seems to know what pieces work with what,, dunno if that is going to be fully installed or not. So, back to the stallion,, I discover a light film of overspray over the entire car tonite. 600 degrees in the fricken shade and I got to deal with this. Grab the bottle of 3M rubbing compound and the buffer, take an hour,, WRONG!!!!!! the switch on my buffer decides to take a crap,, take buffer apart and clean up switch,, works.........sometimes... get entire car buffed in a couple hours. Lost 35 lbs from sweating and I am seeing things from being dehydrated. How the heck I got overspray on the car is a puzzle to me,, Made me think of Jean and how mad whe was a few weeks ago... hehe .I had it covered when I was doing some paintwork and it was very very light paintwork. Now to get some wax on it and get the rest in order tomorrow. I am wishing i could trade in all my old junk on a new Maverick.

I feel for ya buddy...I have buffed so much in the last week my index finger is stuck in the trigger position, I swear I had an area perfect and look at it the next day and have to do it again....and I don't even want to talk about overspray, I shot some trim and had the car covered with heavy quilts and yup...overspray:hmmm:  the car is a freaking magnet:16suspect

I looked at those but went with the simple friction control. What problem are you having?

I am down to the spot where the trunions work into the ball hitch. The size of what I have now wont fit into the ball hitch. I have a set of 1000 lb bars that work, but the anti sway bars are curved in this particular application, wont work. Am going out in the morning to find a different ball hitch,, but I dont think anyone around here has anything that heavy duty.

My RV dealer stocks 1200 lb bars. I have the Reese Trunnion system for my travel trailer.

Well....I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one "thrashing" for the roundup. Actually, I started the motor for the first time last night only to find the oil pressure was a little low. Hmm....maybe I'll be driving that one year, special edition, Ford Chevrolet Beretta. :hide:

Allen I have the trunion system too. Found the correct ball hitch assy today and got it all mounted and all seems to be good, ride height appears to be correct. Now have to load and see what changes I have to make. Got alot done today despite the incredibly hot weather. Tomorrow is supposed to be real blast furnace. Hope I can get most done in the early morn.

Well, I was all excited thinking I'd get to bring my '73, but this low oil pressure thing came up. I'm not sure what's going on - if I can get it fixed by Wed, I'll bring it! Maybe driving something that isn't a Maverick wouldn't be as bad if it was a FORD. :D Maybe I'll work on that...

I'm getting parts together for swapping. Wayne and I are leaving Thursday. I have Wednesday off to get everything together plus clean and shine the Grabber before loading it on the trailer.
