While I admire those with fabrication skills and experience that allows them to set a car up well, I have little. But, I have noticed that a stock Comet (the one pictured) with all bushings replaced, a Shelby drop, and a little extra caster, plus decent tires, will hold any maneuver I have enough dare to give. With tight strut bushings, the 5/8 front sway bar keeps the car fairly flat. I know we are talking drag race traction.....of which I know even less about.....so carry on!
