Most auto transmissions I have messed with, rotating the arm is fairly easy by removeing the nut that holds it on and simply flipping it over. The have like little notches on either side.

did i mention i :drive: the car yesterday :bananaman  .

i went by the shop and he wanted me to :drive: it so he could set the "tv rod".
after a few attempts at setting it, he was not happy with the way it shifted. the hookup on the holley carb left it too sloppy....i am going to Summit today and get the Lokar tv cable and carb bracket. they have one for the holley/aod combo.(y)
...will keep ya'll posted as it happens...

Awesome news. I will play with my shifter tomorrow and see if I can duplicate what you did. If I can get that set up to work that saves a couple hundred bucks I thought I was going to have to spend on a shifter. Then all I have to do is finish my crossmember and bend or cut my headers away from the tranny pan :banghead: :banghead:

The Lokar throttle cables use a Clevis type end on the pedal side. Ford apparently used 2 type of throttle pedals in the Maverick. One uses a loop connector with a pin and the other has a ball on the end. If you have the loop type it should be easier to hook up.
Not sure if it was a US vs Canadian build thing or what
An adapter will need to made to fit the ball type.
