Cool... I guess I don't understand the mods to the cross member, or how it is going to fit now?

Way to go my friend, Frank! (y)

1200 rpm, Heck, you're lucky you didnt' have to stop and drain some of the fuel out of your tank! :biglaugh:

I think your move 3.55 gear swap is a great move too. Sounds like another great "how to get someone else to" article in the making! :bouncy:

Be careful when you ask, "Where do you want me to put it?" Some smart-alecky type might tell ya, but I'm not thay type. After all, you're my best good friend.

Be careful using the OD in that AOD! They are very weak and when they go so goes the tranny. The one I had did ok for three years but I unly used it down hills and flat cruise above 65mph. My son burnt his up (three times) using it to go up hill at freeway (plus) speeds. All it took was a 240 mile run on the freeway for the first two and 85 miles on the third tranny.
To be totally honest he might not have adjusted the TP cable on the third one. It doesn't take much to burn them up.

we put a piece of pipe in between the mounting ears and then ran a longer bolt through the frame and then through the cross member...
