thank you i see it now. was looking at the trans mount holes and didn't look at the mounting brakets. but again thank you.
Hey Frank, The BS all depends on the kind of loads you're under! come on over th this side of the country where you have steep 3000 foot climbs to get over the passes in the Cascade mountains and 6-10000 foot passes in the Rockies. If you use the overdrive when you load it like that you won't be laughing. The world looks pretty flat on that side of the USA - c'mon over and play in the real mountains. 80 mph on the flat is nothing, a VW van can do that.
from reading this i guess ...the AOD is just an ..."Option" you could only get in a ...Ga.-Fla. car. if "adjusted correctly" doesn't the OD drop out when the motor loads up...(as pulling a "3000 foot climb") No Mustangs or Crown Vics. "UP" there where you live? still "Ilove my A.O.D."!!! ...frank...
Mountains The AOD will shift in and out of AOD as the load and terrain changes. If adjusted properly. As far as an OD not liking mountains, my 86 B2 went very well across I-70 many times and never had a problem climbing up Mt. Evans and Pikes Peak to 14,000+ elv. I-90 doesn't get over 4500' on a good day. Try leaving in Leadville Co. at 10,000 elv and tell me how a AOD doesn't like it. Good work on the AOD 71Gold.
Here is another strong AOD: http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=30068&page=2 and why would I think that a C4 would be a better tranny than the AOD? Because it is? Paul
