http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/rules/regrev/evaluate/806430.html My fault...it was January 1st, 1969 The other site I got the 1970 on was a non-government site and said 1970...
hmm.... they don't have to be stock right? Car is gonna be black. I can probably put a heavily tinted piece of glass mounted flush with the body and have it blend in. A light behind it would still work at night then. I'm trying to brainstorm this thing ahahha
That might work, I cant find anything on obstructing a lamp...but I know the front needs to be amber and the rear needs to be red....I cant find anything on adding a "cover"
i need glass for them like Reba Macyntire (sp)'s recording studio... the type with the gas in it that can be turned from clear to solid with the flip of a switch lol
In my honest opinion yes it doesn't take much time to figure out every vehicle on the road is required to have side marker light's. The newer cars have wrap around lights which eliminate body marker lights. Start looking at cars around town you will notice one of the two or both. It's cool I don't take offense to any of this was just putting it out there. :Handshake The real question is am I going to pull over a vehicle for missing side marker lights? Well I would say in the day time probably not, because Im probably not going to notice a vehicle without them. At night, yes I would definitely notice a car missing side marker lights and yes I would pull them over, it's a safety issue. Oh yeah and Highway Patrol is the worst about pulling people over for defective equipment or vehicle modifications.
