    lol.....

blackmav i saw you at a car show awhile back..i guess before your car was hit as you told me. i really liked that car...my car is haveing the same problems as everyone else seems like... the block is packed full of rust and corrosion! even after many flushes 3 new radiators and water pumps, t stats, and everything in between...it still is clogging up so i am in the middle of riging a small brass or copper screen to put on the return part of the radiator. i will also put a small catch can before that so the coolant will fall into the can dropping all rust and corrosion and when it fill up it will go into the screen with small stuff i figure about once a week i'll pull the hose off clean it and the can and it'll work untill i can afford a new engine...because ifi isgoing to be tore down why not make it a fresh 302.

    OVERHEATING IS THE WORST.

I went through all those fixes and none worked either.

I decided to try to switch to an open radiator system.

I bought a brand new radiator for some other car that the hose placements matched that had the open style (radiator cap doesnt bottom out and lets overflow from heat and pressure buildup push to excess antifreeze the overflow bottle)

Then bought an antifreeze overflow bottle.

I now have no problems at all.

Also NOTHING works better than a tight fan shroud.

i was also told that the leather like strip on top of the wall that you mount the radiator in helps seal air from going over it. i never even noticed it. as they age and fall apart, i am told that some overheating problems can happen .02
