my transmission guy told me..."when you get the bellhousing slid up, the converter should still slide on the bolts about 1/4". as i tighten the bellhousing bolts i check the converter and make sure it still moves. if not then the converter isn't seated all the way in... do not pull it on with the bolts... ......
Yep, there should always be some play in the converter with the transmission bolted to the engine. I showed Longviewgrabber how it should fit when he picked up the bellhousing today. It was a pleasure to meet another enthusiast and make a new contact and friend.
