347 with alloy heads is my plan too, maybe next year I'm just worried about how much hp the aod auto can take.I will upload some pics soon, the previous owner was a member so their maybe pics already out there.I'm looking to change the wheels, will 18" fit ? it has 15" on it .
Ok thanks .Mine has a 9" rear with disk brakes I don't know if it is the standed width or narrower it has 15/60/255 that fit nice.
I think the original diff length is 56.5 inches, and a 4&1/4 inch backspace on the rims seems to be the most appropriate. I have 17x8 all round with 275/40 on the rear and 225/45 up front. I also have a set of custom made 16x8 and 16x10 resuscitate style rims with 265/50 and 215/60. There's not much room to spare on the rear with these. These cars ar lots of fun with a bit of horsepower in them. Goodluck in your endeavours mate
From flange to flange, where the backing plate bolts on. Don't apologise about the name mate, it just goes to show there's not many of us here in oz!
I see in the December issue of the Australian Uniquecars there is a 1972 four door maverick, 6 cylinder forsale in Victoria for $8, 000
