B&M fly wheel issues

    the bolt holes in the crank go all the way thru. bolts will weep oil if you dont use some kind of sealer , i use pipe thread sealer myself. to each his own.you did right by going and getting the ring.and useing the ford bolts. sides im jealous ..they never gave me a candy cane at my parts store lol,

    :hmmm:I didn't know you could buy the reinforcement ring from a parts house, you made the right choice. You did use that sealer all the way around the threads though , didn't you ? As with what 84stepside said, the bolts won't loosen if torqued properly without thread locking compound. But they will weep oil if no sealer is used.

    i got the reinforcement ring shipped to the store the same day. and i sure did use sealer all the way around the threads, but only after wire brushing all the old stuff off the bolts to make sure they were clean. i also torqued them to 70 pounds in a star pattern so i think we are good to go!
