It's been a while since I've been posting on here. For all the older members you'll know my green 4 door Maverick that died an unfortunate death many years ago. Well, time to join back in. Just picked this up today. 77 all original car. 250 6 cyl with a/c and power disc brakes. This car was to clean to pass up. Thanks to Craig and Frank for your imput.

That's great news. Glad I could help. I hope it turns out as nice as it looks and no surprises.

    Welcome BACK to the "club".

I think I might keep the luggage rack. Might keep this one understated but with a similar power plant that the green one had. Kinda sleeper mode. The green one definitely wasn't a sleeper.

I will eventually swapping the engine for a fuel injected 302 I have here from a wrecked truck. Shift kit and mild build for the c4. I might keep the luggage rack and the understated look or say screw it and put a cowl hood on. Haven't decided yet. Interior I'll keep original with the exception of the dash instrument cluster. Gotta do something different there. Much better sound insulation and stereo. Different stance and wheels and tires. Probably going back to the same stance I had on the four door. Not sure what else yet.

    Howdy Stranger!

Looks like that car was just released from a time capsule. Nice. Really like the interior.

Good to see you back here.

Welcome back. You was the first maverick owner I talked to years ago, at the NPD ford show. I'm glad to see you back in the game, and I still go to the show every year, but this January is the 24th and finial NPD show.

Welcome back. I remember seeing your green 4 door and talking with you at the Silver Springs show years ago. The park was purchased by the state of Fl and many changes took place : no more animals to speak of, no more free rides on the glass bottom boats, no more rides. Attendance to the show went down and a decision by NPD was made to end it. I have missed the last 2 myself since moving from Fl to NC to be near my son. He and I are planning to make this last show, though. I moved to a cooler climate myself but, wow, what a climate change you have made. Good luck up there ! Looks like you have the beginnings of a nice car.

Finally found a truck to pick up the car on Monday. Not many trucks running this direction. I was about to go get it myself. Hopefully be here Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest.
